“Moanin’ at Midnight” inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame
 in 2008 as a “classic in blues literature”!

“Moanin’ at Midnight” was joined in the "classics of blues literature” award by the play “Seven Guitars” by the late August Wilson. Also inducted were producer John Hammond and scholar Paul Oliver, blues songs such as “Backwater Blues” by Bessie Smith and “My Babe” by Little Walter, and performers such as the Mississippi Sheiks, Johnny “Guitar” Watson, and Howlin’ Wolf’s guitarist Hubert Sumlin.
